39. Berliner Zahnärztetag - Der Generalist als Spezialist

Dr. Little Elk ist Fachärztin für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapeutin mit einer Zusatzqualifikation in Somnologie. Sie ist Gründerin und Leiterin der Schlafpraxis Berlin sowie des psychotherapeutischen Zentrums darin. Sie leitete mehrere Jahre das Schlaflabor der Rehaklinik Seehof in Teltow und kooperierte eng mit dem Schlafmedizinischen Zentrum der Charité. Seit 2013 betreibt sie eine Privatpraxis in Berlin-Friedenau, die umfassende psychosomatische Versorgung und ambulante Schlafmedizin bietet, einschließlich Polysomnographien.

Seit Januar 2023 leitet Dr. Little Elk den Fachbereich Schlafmedizin der Oberberg Fachklinik Berlin Brandenburg, wo sie Schlaflabormessungen im stationären Rahmen durchführt und individuelle Behandlungskonzepte entwickelt. Zusätzlich engagiert sie sich als Dozentin und teilt ihr Wissen in verschiedenen Medienformaten, darunter Print, Funk und Fernsehen. Mit einer Musikproduzentin gründete sie eine Medienfirma, die eine Kindersendung bei Radio TEDDY produziert.

Als Autorin veröffentlichte sie das Buch „Psychotherapie – Mein erstes Mal“, das humorvoll wichtige Themen der Psychotherapie behandelt. Dr. Little Elk beantwortet regelmäßig medizinische Fragen in Radio- und TV-Formaten und konzentriert sich dabei auf Themen wie Schlaf, Psyche und Allgemeinmedizin. Ihre öffentliche Präsenz dient der unterhaltsamen Vermittlung von medizinischem Wissen.

Jun.-Prof. Kernen hat sein Zahnmedizinstudium an der Universität Basel absolviert und dort 2012 abgeschlossen. und war zunächst als Zahnarzt in einer Praxis tätig. Bereits einige Monate später Nach einer kurzen Tätigkeit niedergelassener Zahnarztkehrte ging er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter zurück an das Universitäre Zentrum für Zahnmedizin Basel und hat 2014 an der Universität Basel seine Promotion zum Dr. med. dent. abgeschlossen. Während der Promotionsphase ging er als International Fellow an das Department of Reconstructive Sciences der University of Connecticut in Farmington, USA. Nach Ende des Fellowships blieb er an der University of Connecticut und hat dort den Masterstudiengang "Dental Science" absolviert und zudem das “Certificate of Competence in Implant Surgery” am Department of Reconstructive Sciences erworben. Im November 2017 kam Jun-Prof. Kernen als Klinischer Wissenschaftler für Translationale Implantologie an die Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg.

Dr. Christian Leonhardt is an alumnus of Würzburg University College of Dentistry, where he laid the foundation for his distinguished career. Obtaining his Master’s Degree in Dental Technology in 1996, Udo Plaster is continuously on the search for a more holistic and accurate way of applying his expertise and experience with the patient as the focus. As an international lecturer and author of numerous publications, innovator of dental technologies, Plaster shares his knowledge, contributes to the improvement of interdisciplinary communication between the dentist and the dental technician and is committed to the well-being of the patients. Good communication between all 3; the patient, the dentist, the technician are essential elements for obtaining successful results.
