April 2023 im Estrel Convention Center statt – mit (fast) allem, was Ihnen aus den vergangenen Jahren vor der digitalen Corona-Pause vertraut ist: Ein top aktuelles Programm mit Wissenschaft und Praxis direkt für den „Montag danach“, engagierte Referentinnen und Referenten aus Praxis und Klinik, eine thematisch passende und vielseitige Dentalausstellung und ein entspannter und geselliger Abend beim Get-Together am ersten Kongressabend.
Das Thema für 2023 hat es in sich: „Kein Mut zur Lücke! Prothetik und Ästhetik von A bis Z“. In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich nicht nur durch die Digitalisierung in der Prothetik sehr viel verändert, sowohl in der Zahnarztpraxis als auch im Dentallabor. Es gibt also genug Anlass, sich intensiv mit dem Thema Prothetik zu befassen und genau hinzuschauen, was für die tägliche Praxis neu ist, taugt und wichtig ist. Wir freuen uns, mit Prof. Dr. Florian Beuer von der Charité und Dr. Dana Weigel wieder ein Team aus Wissenschaft und Praxis für die wissenschaftliche Leitung des Kongresses gewonnen zu haben. General dentist leads a mono professional practice in Turin, Italy and Zürich, Switzerland. He graduated from the University of Turin, continued his training as an Assistant in the Prosthodontic Department of the same University headed by Prof. Giulio Preti, then at the Department of Masticatory disorders and Prosthodontic of the University of Zurich directed by Prof. Sandro Palla and attending the Department of surgery at the University of Bern and conducted by Prof. Daniel Buser.
From 1994 to 1999, Prof. Dr. Florian Beuer studied at the Dental School of the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, Germany, where he gained his license to practice (DDS) in 2000. From 2000 to 2001, he worked as an employed dentist in a private practice. In 2002, he became assistant professor in the Department of Prosthodontics of the Ludwig Maximilian University and made his Dissertation (Dr. med. dent.) in the same year. He became Specialist in Implantology (German Society for Implantology) in 2005. From 2007 to 2008, he worked as a Visiting Professor at the Pacific Dental Institute in Portland, Oregon (Director: John A. Sorensen DMD, PhD). His habilitation (Priv. Doz., PhD) was in 2009 at the LMU. From 2009 to 2015, he was the Vice President of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde (DGAEZ)". In 2010, he became an Expert in Prosthodontics after a further education at DGPro. Since 2011, Prof. Buer is a board member of the Team AG Ceramics. In the same year, he became the editor of the "Teamwork Journal of Continuing Dental Education". Since 2014, he was full Professor at Ludwig Maximilians University until 2015, when he became the Chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics at the Charité University of Medicine Berlin. He is also a Board Member of the German Society for Implantology (DGI).He gained his Master of Medical Education MME (University of Heidelberg) in 2015.
Vincent Fehmer, MDT, received his dental technical education and degree in Stuttgart, Germany, before completing fellowships in Great Britain and the United States in Oral Design–certified dental technical laboratories. After working several years in such a laboratory in Berlin, he received his MDT degree and became the chief dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2015, he has been a dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland. He also runs his own laboratory in Lausanne. Mr Fehmer is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), and a member of the Oral Design group as well as the European Association of Dental Technology (EADT) and the German Society of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ). He is a sought-after international speaker and has received many honors for his work, including the Kenneth Rudd Award from the American Prosthodontic Society. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals within the field of fixed prosthodontics and digital dental technology, contributed to many books, and recently coauthored the book Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology with Irena Sailer and Bjarni Pjetursson. Mr Fehmer also serves as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, editor-in-chief of Quintessence of Dental Technology, and Section Editor for the International Journal of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Gierthmühlen, graduated and received her DDS from Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Germany in 2001. She was an Assistant Professor (2001-2006) at the Department of Prosthodontics (Chair Prof. Dr Dr. h.c. J.R. Strub), University, Freiburg, Germany and is a Board certified Prosthodontist (2005) of the German Society of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials (DGPro). From 2006-2009 she was a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Biomaterials & Biomimetics (Chair Prof. Dr. V.P. Thompson), NYU, New York, USA. In 2009 Dr. Guess was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics, University, Freiburg, where she accomplished the Habilitation in 2011. Since 2016 she is Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at the Heinrich-Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany.
Dr. Arndt Happe graduated from dental school in 1994, having studied at Westfälische Wilhelms University, Münster. Following post-graduate studies with Professor Fouad Khoury and successful specialization in oral surgery, he obtained his doctoral degree in 1996. At that time he had already been active as a speaker and co-author of national and international publications in the field of oral implantology. Since 1999, Dr. Happe has worked as an oral surgeon in private practice in Münster, with a professional focus on both oral implantology (since 2000) and periodontology (since 2004). He taught in various postgraduate programs offered by the German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI), the European Association of Dental Implantologists (BDIZ EDI), the German Association of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ) and the German Society for Periodontology (DGP), as well as in the “Periodontology and Implant Therapy” master program of the DGP in cooperation with Dresden International University. In addition, Dr. Happe is an external research assistant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Oral Surgery and Implantology at the University of Cologne (Director: Professor Joachim E. Zöller). He is an affiliate of the prestigious European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).

Since 2004: Established in own practice in Mainz with focus on implantology, periodontology, functional diagnostics and restorative dentistry. Since 2015: Joint practice with Dr. Ina Köttgen MSc. specializing in functional diagnostics, periodontology, implantology and restorative dentistry. 2017: Publications in numerous journals on the topics of periodontology, implantology, prophylaxis and esthetics. Multiple lecturing activities on the topics of periodontology, prophylaxis, esthetic dentistry and implantology and implant prosthetics and complex treatment planning. Lecturer of the master course " Master Online Periodontology" of the University of Freiburg. Chairman of the Intensive Continuing Education and Continuum Department of the BZKR. Member of the Representative Assembly of the BZK Rheinhessen. Deputy Chairman of the Representative Assembly of the BZK Rheinhessen. Member of the editorial board of "Der junge Zahnarzt" (Springer Verlag).
Ina Köttgen, Dr med dent, MSc, maintains a joint private practice with Dr Christopher Köttgen in Mainz, Germany, limited to functional diagnostics, periodontology, implantology, and restorative dentistry. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the German Society for Periodontology.
Irena Sailer, Prof Dr med dent, is chair of the Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the University of Geneva and adjunct associate professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In 2019, she received an Honorary Skou Professorship of digital dental technologies, fixed and implant prosthodontics, and biomaterials at Aarhus University, Denmark. Dr Sailer is editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Prosthodontics and coauthor of over 150 peer-reviewed publications as well as the books Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology (Quintessence, 2021) and Color in Dentistry (2017). She holds several patents on esthetic coatings of dental/medical devices and a digital dental splint.
