Dr. Tara Aghaloo is Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She completed her dental training at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, M.D., and PhD at UCLA. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and her clinical practice focuses on bone and soft tissue regeneration, and dental implants. She is also active in professional organizations where she is Past President of the Academy of Osseointegration, an ITI Board Member, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Serhat Aslan, DDS, PhD Dr. Serhat Aslan is a graduate of Ege University, School of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. Nitzan Bichacho, D.M.D. holds the post of expert in prosthodontics at the rank of Professor, at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University and Hadassah, Jerusalem, Israel, where he graduated in 1984. Prof. Bichacho is Past President and a Life Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and serves on the editorial boards of leading international dental journals. He developed restorative and prosthetic clinical techniques that have become widely used around the world. Darko Božić is an Associate prof at the Department of Periodontology, School of Dental Medicine, Zagreb, Croatia. He works at the University Clinical Hospital at the Clinic for periodontology as a specialist in periodontology. In addition to that, he also works every day in his private clinic. Currently he holds the position of the President of the Croatian Society of Periodontology, and is a member of the EFP executive committee and will be the president of the EFP in 2023-24. The focus of his research is proteomic analysis of periodontal tissues for which he and his team received two prestigious IADR awards. His main focus in his clinical work is the reconstruction of soft and hard tissues in periodontitis affected patients with a special research interest is the application of growth factors, namely BMPs and the Hyaluronic acid in regenerative procedures as well as soft tissue reconstruction utilizing various collagen matrices. He lectures extensively on the national and international level on various topics with more than 70 invited lectures so far, many at international periodontal congresses. He frequently gives advanced clinical master class courses with live surgical procedures.
Tali Chackartchi graduated dentistry in 2002. Completed a post-graduate program in Periodontology at the Department of Periodontology, Hadassah & Hebrew University Faculty of Dental Medicine in 2008, and became a clinical instructor in the department at the same year. Dr Clavijo holds a degree in Dentistry from Universidade Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil (2002) and obtained the title of Specialist, Master and Doctor in Restorative Dentistry, from UNESP Araraquara (2003–2011). Despite his academic background, his focus is on clinical care. He has followed in the footsteps of his father, who has been a clinician for over 50 years in the city of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. He has more than 60 articles published in national and international journals and has authored and co-authored books in the dental field. His work is based on clinical and scientific evidence. Currently, he divides his time between appointments at his clinic, classes, and courses in Brazil and abroad. In addition, he contributes to research in dentistry; he conducts research annually at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, as a visiting professor.
Dr Giordani has specialized in maxillofacial and periodontal surgery, and implantology. After graduating from the Universidade Paulista (UNIP), São Paulo, Brazil, he took a fellowship in Belgium, on “Implants and Periodontal Plastic Surgery” with Dr Eric Van Dooren, collaborating with him to the present day. Dr Giordani is treating cases in an interdisciplinary fashion, working with specialists all over the world. He lectures internationally on soft tissue management, periodontology, and implantology in prosthetic treatments. His main focus is treatment for gummy smile, esthetic crown lengthening, root coverage, gingival grafts, and immediate implants. He works closely with the Dentcof team and Ateliê Oral, one of the most successful dental clinics in São Paolo.
In 1986, Professor Goldstein graduated from the Hadassah School of Dental Medicine to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. In 1990, he completed his speciality training in Periodontology at the same faculty. Professor Goldstein is Head of Post-graduate Training in Periodontology at Hadassah School of Dental Medicine to the University of Jerusalem. He manages his own private practice specialised in periodontology and implantology in Tel Aviv. Professor Goldstein is Chairman of the Israel Periodontal Society and President of the European Federation of Periodontology. He is a lecturer of worldwide authority and a clinical specialist. He is engaged in many clinical, scientific and educational projects on a national and international level. Professor Goldstein participates in various scientific studies, development and clinical application of periodontal surgical techniques, bone regeneration materials and dental implant systems. Galip Gürel, DDS, MSc, is the founder and honorary president of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, a past president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a visiting professor at the New York University, Marseille Dental University, and Istanbul Yeditepe University. He received the 2014 Smigel Prize, which is granted biennially by New York University College of Dentistry to honor the best esthetic dentists in the world. Dr Gürel is the author of The Science and Art of Porcelain Laminate Veneers (Quintessence Publishing, 2003), which has been translated into 12 different languages. He is the editor-in-chief of Quintessence Magazine in Turkey and serves on the editorial boards for several journals.
Doctor Stefen Koubi graduated from the University of Marseille, France, in 1998. He has held the position of Associate Professor in the Restorative Department of Marseille University since 2008 and received his PhD in 2011. He maintains a private practice in Marseille and in Paris. His main areas of interest are esthetic rehabilitation for cosmetic or functional reasons (worn dentition). He has been invited to many prestigious esthetic academies to lecture on simple ways to achieve high-quality esthetic dentistry. He is an invited professor in many esthetic postgraduate programs. Dr Koubi received the Gold Molar title from the students of his university (best teacher of the year) in 2012, and the title of Best French Speaker the same year. Since 2012 he has been a member of Style Italiano community in charge of indirect topics. He founded in 2013 L'Institut de la facette, a private training center focused on smile design for worn dentition and cosmetic rehabilitations. He is the author or co-author of many scientific articles and case reports on esthetic dentistry.

Dr. Stavros Pelekanos received his undergraduate degree in Dentistry (D.D.S.) from the Univ. of Athens, Greece. In 1993, he obtained his doctoral degree in Prosthodontics (DMD) from the Univ. of Freiburg, Germany. Following his professional training, Dr. Pelekanos established a private practice in Athens, oriented towards prosthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry. In 2002, he was appointed full-time Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Univ. of Athens, Greece, and in 2012 Assistant Professor in the same department. Ariel J. Raigrodski, DMD, MS, received his DMD degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. He went on to receive his certificate in prosthodontics from Louisiane State University School of Dentistry, where he also completed a fellowship in implants and esthetics and an MS degree. Dr Raigrodski is currently a professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and an adjunct professor in the Department of Washington. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the International College of Dentists, a member of many professional organizations, and a member of several editorial boards for professional journals. Dr Raigrodski's research focuses on ceramics, implant esthetics, and CAD/CAM technology. He has published extensively and lectures both nationally and internationally. Dr Raigrodski maintains a private practice limited to restorative, implant, and esthetic dentistry in Kenmore, Washington.
Ausra Ramanauskaite completed the dental education (DDS) (2006–2011) and specialization in periodontology (MSc) (2011–2014) at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Lithuania. In 2016, she was awarded a one-year Osteology Foundation research scholarship at the Oral Surgery Department, University of Düsseldorf, Germany. She received the PhD degree in 2018 and Dr. med.dent in 2019. Currently, Ausra Ramanauskaite is working at the Oral Surgery and Implantology Department at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Ausra has authored international peer-reviewed publications and is active in the research field of peri-implant pathology, bone and soft tissue regeneration.
Isabella Rocchietta, DDS, MSc, is an honorary senior research associate to the Department of Periodontology and a lecturer for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. She is an elected board member of the European Academy for Osseointegration and a member of the Experts Council of the Osteology Foundation. She is the author of several national and international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr Rocchietta performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in London and Milan and lectures internationally.
Mariano Sanz is professor and chair of periodontology at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain) and a professor in the faculty of Odontology at the University of Oslo (Norway). He graduated in medicine in 1981 from the University Complutense of Madrid, from which he received a degree in stomatology in 1983 and where he qualified as a Doctor of Medicine in 1985. He received his speciality in periodontology from the Universtiy of Califormia in Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1987. He has received honorary doctorates from the University of San Sebastian in Santiago (Chile), the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and the University of Coimbra (Portugal). Since 2005, Prof Sanz has been chair of the ETEP research group on the aetiology and therapy of periodontal diseases, whose main lines of research are oral microbiology, bacterial-host interactions, and antimicrobial approaches in the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. The research group has conducted clinical trials to measure the efficacy of different approaches to periodontal regeneration surgical protocols using dental implants, and therapeutic approaches to treat peri-implantitis. Prof Sanz has published 230 articles in scientific journals, written 50 book chapters, and has participated as an invited speaker at more than 200 scientific events in the last five years. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Evidence-Based Dental Practice and a member of the editorial boards of various other dental journals. He has been awarded the Jens Waerhaug Research Prize by the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology (1984), the Outstanding Service Award from the International Association for Dental Research (2015) and the IADR Straumann Award in Periodontal Regenerative Medicine (2015). He is a member of the executive committee of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and chair of its workshop committee. He has previously served the EFP both as president (1993-1994) and secretary general (1998–2005). He is president of the Osteology Foundation, president of the International Association for Dental Research’s continental European division, and president-elect of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
