In zweiter und überarbeiteter Auflage werden in diesem Werk die hochkomplexen topographisch-anatomischen Verhältnisse des Gesichts anhand lückenloser Serien von plastischen, detailreichen Illustrationen mit dreidimensionaler Anmutung Schicht für Schicht dargestellt.

Wichtige Orientierungspunkte, anatomische Details und klinisch relevante Konstellationen von Nerven und Gefäßen finden dabei Berücksichtigung.

Eine weitere Besonderheit: Aufgrund der immer gleichen Ansichten in den verschiedenen Präparationsschichten bleibt die Übersicht stets erhalten. Begleittexte und Bildlegenden heben das Wesentliche hervor; im Vordergrund steht jedoch immer das Bild.
