Associate Professor A. Burak Çankaya, DDS, graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian High School in 1995, and from Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry, in 2000. He worked as a visiting lecturer at Klinikum Osnabrück GmbH – Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer-, Gesichtschirurgie in 2006 and 2007. He acquired his PhD in 2007 and became Associate Professor in 2012. His professional areas of interest include impacted tooth surgery, dental traumatology, dental implants, and bone regeneration. He is a member of the Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Luigi Canullo raduated cum laude in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1994. PhD at the University of Bonn (Germany). National and international speaker on surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant dentistry. He is author of more than 100 articles published on international journals on topics related to implantology. Active member of the Italian Academy for Osseointegration (IAO) and the European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO). Visiting Professor at the University of Bern (Switzerland), Assistant Professor at the University of Genova (Italy). Reviewer for the most important journals in implant dentistry. His professional office is in Rome, limiting his private practice at surgery and implant supported prosthetic rehabilitation.
Daniele Cardaropoli, DDS, is adjunct professor in periodontology at the University of Catania, scientific director of ProEd Institute for Professional Education in Dentistry in Torino, Italy, and president of the Giuseppe Cardaropoli Foundation for Research and Care in Periodontology. He is an active member of several organizations and recipient of several awards, including the Henry M. Goldman Award for the Clinical Research. Dr Cardaropoli is the author of more than 30 articles published in peer-reviewed international journals and coeditor of the textbook Soft Tissues and Pink Esthetics in Implant Therapy (Quintessence, 2019). He maintains a private practice in Torino, Italy.
Dr Carnevale graduated from the University of Rome, Italy, with a degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed postgraduate specialization in Dentistry and Prosthodontics (1970). He earned an MSc with a certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontology from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in 1976. Dr Carnevale has held positions with various professional dental societies and committees: Italian Society of Periodontology: founding member, Vice President (1981–1983), Membership Acceptance Committee Coordinator (1983–1989, 1997–2000, and 2007–2009), President-elect (1989–1991), President (1991–1993), Scientific Committee Coordinator (1993–1997), member of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee (2005–2009 and 2013–2017), Bologna Provincial Medical Board Dentistry Roll council member and committee member (1994–2000), Former president of the European Federation of Periodontology (2000), Italian Committee for Coordination of Scientific Dental Societies (CIC): Former president and member of the Italian Ministry of Health Dental Technical Board (2016–2019), Honorary member of Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP), Honorary member of Neue Gruppe, Recipient of the 2015 Eminence in Periodontology Award (European Federation of Periodontology). Teaching positions held by Dr Carnevale include Lecturer in Periodontology at the University of Rome Postgraduate Faculty of Dentistry and Prosthodontics (1980–1983), Visiting Professor of Periodontal Surgery at the University of Bologna Faculty of Odontostomatology (1983–1986), and Visiting Professor of Osseous Surgery at the University of Turin Postgraduate School of Periodontology (2008–2018).
Dr Carrassi is a professor of dentistry and stomatology, head of the Operative Unit of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the San Paolo Hospital in Milan and dean pro tempore of the Medical Faculty of the University of Milan. He has a degree in medicine and surgery and is specialized in stomatology and in general pathology. Dr Carrassi has served in several scientific societies and he has been a past president of the Association for Dental Education in Europe, the European Association of Oral Medicine and the SIdP.
Steve Carstensen, DDS, started treating sleep problems in 1998 and maintains a private practice in Bellevue, Washington. He has completed a Mini-Residency in Sleep at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He lectures internationally, directs sleep education at the Pankey Institute, and is a guest lecturer at Spear Education, University of the Pacific, and Louisiana State University Dental Schools. Since 2014, he has been editor-in-chief of Dental Sleep Practice Medicine.
Paolo Casentini teaches postgraduate courses in oral implantology and oral surgery at the University of Milan in Italy. He is fellow and chairman of the Italian section of the ITI, an active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) and a member of SIdP. Paolo Casentini is author or coauthor of several scientific papers about implantology and regenerative surgery published on peer-reviewed international journals. He has contributed as author or coauthor to 10 textbooks about implantology, pre-implant surgery and oral surgery; some of which have been translated in several other languages. He is also coauthor of the ITI Treatment Guide volume 4, which has been translated into 9 languages. His main fields of interest are the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implantology and periodontology in advanced and esthetically demanding cases. He has extensively lectured on these topics during international congresses and courses in 35 different countries.
Barbara Lesley Chadwick is Professor of Paediatric Dentistry and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University. She qualified from the London Hospital Medical College in 1983 and then took up an appointment at the University of Wales, where she completed MScD (1990) and PhD (1997) degrees.
Dr Leandro Chambrone received a DDS and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Methodist University of São Paulo in Brazil. Subsequently, he earned a masters degree and PhD degree in periodontics from the University of São Paulo. He serves as a faculty member in several prestigious institutions in North America, South America, and Europe. He holds positions of Associate Professor at Egas Moniz University (Portugal), Ad honorem Associate Professor at El Bosque University (Colombia), Visiting Professor at the University of Iowa, and Adjunct Associate Professor at Penn School of Dental Medicine. Beyond his enthusiasm and dedication as an educator and health care provider, Dr Chambrone is also heavily involved in clinical research and evidence-based dentistry. He has authored over 150 papers, including some commissioned consensus reviews for the American Academy of Periodontology and the European Federation of Periodontology. Dr Chambrone currently serves as Section Editor of Clinical Research for The International Journal of Oral Implantology and Section Editor of Periodontics for the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry.
