Dr Michael Kane, Aesthetic plastic surgeon, New York, USA and international lecturer on all topics relating to aesthetic plastic surgery.

His areas of special interest include replacement of missing teeth, bite problems, and aesthetic dentistry.  He is a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the American Prosthodontic Society and he annually attends their meetings in Chicago.  Recently he became a faculty member of Spear Education, the leading educational institute in the U.S. Since 2008 Kostas has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at King’s College (Guy’s Hospital). This involves giving weekly seminars, clinical demonstrations and supervision of patient treatment.  He currently teaches training specialists in Prosthodontics. He is married to Arzu and they have one son, Alexis. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and sports such as football and running

Professor Ioannis K. Karoussis graduated from the Dental School of Athens, Greece, where he also achieved his Master’s degree in Oral Biology. He specialized in Periodontology and Implantology at the Universities of Athens, Greece and Bern, Switzerland, where he also completed his doctoral thesis. He has served as coordinator of the Postgraduate clinic of Periodontology at the University of Athens, as Editor of the Journal Odontostomatological Progress and President of the Hellenic Society for Odontostomatological Research. His private practice in Athens specializes in periodontics and implant dentistry. He has received awards for his research on peri-implantitis and has authored more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as four textbooks in the Greek language.

Christos Katsaros obtained his dental degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and received his four-year orthodontic training at the University of Saarland, Germany, where he also completed his doctoral degree (Dr. med. dent.) and "Habilitation." He worked as a researcher at Göteborg University, Sweden, where he completed an Odont. Dr./ Ph.D. From 2000 to 2002, he served as an Associate Professor and from 2002 to 2008 as a Professor of Orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Biology, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Since 2008 he has held the position of Professor and Chair at the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, University of Bern, Switzerland.

Following graduation, she completed a one-year residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor and Co-Clinical Director at Full Mouth Rehabilitation Continuing Dental Education Program at NYU and lectures at Nova Southeastern University Continuing Education Department. Dr. Ellen is a Graduate and a Mentor at the Kois Center, which focuses on Evidence-Based Teaching for practicing dentists. She is a published author in the Peer-Reviewed Compendium Dental Magazine and continues to share her wealth of knowledge with practicing dentists across the country.

Christine Kätzel ist Sportphysiotherapeutin und als Hochschuldozentin für Physiotherapie und Gesundheitsfachberufe tätig. Ihre umfangreiche Expertise und ihren langjährigen Erfahrungsschatz im Bereich Fitnesstraining, Funktionsgymnastik sowie Faszientraining gibt sie seit mehr als 20 Jahren als Ausbilderin von Trainern und Übungsleitern weiter. Die Autorin ist leidenschaftliche Ausdauersportlerin und startete bereits bei vielen Ultra- und Etappenläufen. Zudem ist sie Gründungsmitglied der Marathonabteilung des FC St. Pauli, die sich politisch und sozial verantwortlich engagiert.

Philipp Kauffmann is a senior consultant at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Medical Center in Göttingen, Germany. In addition to being a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he also holds the additional qualification “Plastic and Esthetic Surgery.” His clinical and scientific activities focus on plastic-reconstructive facial surgery, implantology, and oncology in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
