Mauro Merli, MD, DDS, is a professor of periodontology at the Marche Polytechnic University, president of Clinica Merli, and scientific director of Accademia Dentofacciale Merli. He is an active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry. Dr Merli is the author of Implant Therapy: The Integrated Treatment Plan (Quintessence, 2013) and Prosthetics in Implant Therapy (2016) and is an editorial consultant for The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. He lectures internationally and maintains a private practice with his brother and sister.

Juan Mesa-Jiménez PT, MSc, PhD ist Professor an der medizinischen Fakultät und Leiter der Masterstudiengänge „Craniomandibuläre Dysfunktion“ und „Orofazialer Schmerz“ an der Universität San Pablo CEU, Madrid, Spanien. Er verfügt über eine mehr als 20-jährige klinische Erfahrung als Privatarzt einer Schmerzklinik, die auf die Behandlung von Patienten mit orofazialen Schmerzen spezialisiert ist. Er hat in peer-reviewed Fachzeitschriften wissenschaftliche Artikel über chronische orofaziale Schmerzen und deren Behandlung mittels Needling-Techniken veröffentlicht und spricht weltweit als Referent auf Konferenzen.

Graduated in Dentistry (DDS) in 1984; Honorary Degree in Dentistry at the University of Malmo (Sweden) in 2018; Specialist in Orthodontics; Full professor in Orthodontics and Clinical Gnathology; Director of the post-graduated School in Orthodontics and responsible of the Master course on “Orofacial pain and Temporomandibular Disorders” at the University of Naples Federico II; Authored or co-authored more than 170 papers published in Italian and international journals, and co-author of several book chapters; President of the European Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders (2010); President of the Neuroscience group of IADR (2011); President of SIDA (società italiana di disfunzioni ed algie temporomandibolari; 2012-2013); President of the RDC/TMD Consortium at the International Association od Dental Research (2013-2014); President of the Italian Board of Orthodontics (IBO) (2022-2023); President elected of the European Society of Oral Physiology (2024); President elected of Special Interest Group (SIG) of IASP (International Association of Study of Pain); Editor in Chief of the Orthodontic and Craniofacial Research journal; Associate Editor of the European Journal of Oral Science; Associate Editor of the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation; Member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Orthodontics and referee of several national and international journals.

Adam J. Mieleszko, CDT graduated in 1997 from New York City Technical College with a degree in Dental Laboratory Technology. In 2000, he received certification in dental ceramics. Since then he has worked in close collaboration with a leading prosthodontists in the field. Interacting with patients on daily bases mastered his skills in dental aesthetic challenges. Adam coauthored books “Fundamentals of Color, Shade Matching and Communication in Esthetic Dentistry” (Quintessence Publishing, 2004, 2011’2nd edition), “Color in Dentistry, Clinical Guide to Predictable Esthetics” (Quintessence Publishing 2017) and contributed to numerous clinical and technical articles in industry journals.
