This DVD presents a minimally invasive treatment for a severely eroded dentition. The unusual erosion of the hard tissue of the teeth had been caused by high concentrations of gastric acid in the saliva, owing to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
The expert team has produced a detailed documentation of a particularly severe case of dental erosion, examining it both from the dentist's and from the dental technician's points of view. This 80-minute video offers recommendations for immediate, predominantly minimally invasive clinical rehabilitation aiming to save as much tooth structure as possible.
This unusual case highlights also the introduction of new methods and materials into state-of-the-art dentistry and dental technology and offers solutions not only for the treatment of this special topic. Among others, fresh insights derived from dental cast analysis such as the novel "Plain Bow System", new and anatomically correct articulator mounting aids, new materials and manufacturing processes as the innovative "silicone-in-silicone" technique, up to CAD/CAM support will be shown.
In addition, a physical therapist familiar with the field of dentistry demonstrates the relationship between the function of the TMJ and the body's limbs.
Obtaining his Master’s Degree in Dental Technology in 1996, Udo Plaster is continuously on the search for a more holistic and accurate way of applying his expertise and experience with the patient as the focus. As an international lecturer and author of numerous publications, innovator of dental technologies, Plaster shares his knowledge, contributes to the improvement of interdisciplinary communication between the dentist and the dental technician and is committed to the well-being of the patients. Good communication between all 3; the patient, the dentist, the technician are essential elements for obtaining successful results.
