He graduated with merit and distinction in dentistry from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Naples Federico II in 1996. He completed his PhD and his thesis was titled "Guided Bone Regeneration: Using Osteoinductive Molecules" from the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Naples Federico II in 2003. He has authored national and international scientific publications. His main interests are periodontology and implant dentistry. He is founder, with Drs Anna Mariniello and Roberto Sorrentino, of the dental blog www.zerodonto.com, internationally recognized as a space for clinical discussion and exchange of experiences among colleagues from all over the world. He works in private practice in Naples with Dr Anna Mariniello, specialist in orthodontics, and Dr Roberto Sorrentino, who practices prosthetic and esthetic dentistry.
