With advances in technology and the introduction of new-generation digital detectors, the concomitant increase in pixel resolution provided the ability to discern fine details of the anatomy. This article focuses on the methodology of CBCT interpretation and reporting. Details of reviewing the volume thoroughly are described with relevant citations. The article summarizes the overall methodical interpretation of CBCT data that is essential to every dentist who uses the technology.
