Introduction: This clinical study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of two different dental bleaching systems: professional bleaching and combined bleaching, focusing on both color change and sensitivity in patients. Materials and Methods: A total of 37 participants (aged 18–70 years) were randomly assigned to two groups: Test Group: Combined bleaching protocol using Philips Zoom (6% hydrogen peroxide) followed by Philips Nite White (16% carbamide peroxide). Control Group: Professional bleaching with Philips Zoom (25% hydrogen peroxide).
Assessment Tools: Color Change: Evaluated using the VITA Zahnfabrik scale and the Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer, measuring parameters such as ΔL, ΔC, Δh, and ΔE. Sensitivity: Measured using the Schiff Air Index and Visual Analog Scale (VAS).
Results: The combined bleaching method demonstrated superior color retention, particularly noticeable between the 14-day and 30-day follow-ups.
Participants in the combined treatment group reported significantly lower sensitivity levels compared to those in the professional bleaching group, indicating enhanced patient comfort. Conclusions: The findings highlight the potential advantages of combined bleaching protocols in achieving effective and lasting aesthetic results while minimizing discomfort for patients.
