This is the last part of an article which comprised all facets of orthodontics from its beginning to its presence reaching out into its future. The following text deals mainly with (more) aspects of cephalometry, growth of face and dentition, superimpositions, twin studies, temporomandibular functions, tissue reactions, education, quality control, and imaging techniques - just to mention a few. Curious? Then the editors encourage their readers to study this work by one of the fathers of modern orthodontics. We promise a lot of food for thoughts and discussions. We are especially grateful that the author also emerges into the future because this is specifically difficult - in other words: future is best predicted retrospectively! The "Kieferorthopädie" likes to express again its great respect to Prof. Moorrees for the honor to publish this outstanding compilation of ideas, illustrations, and references.
