Serhat Aslan, DDS, PhD Dr. Serhat Aslan is a graduate of Ege University, School of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. He attended Periodontology Program of Graduate Study offered by Institute of Health Sciences at Ege University and graduated with PhD degree at Periodontics. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontics, fixed prosthodontics and implants with focus on microsurgery, soft and hard tissue reconstruction and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Aslan is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Sciences, University of Milan, Italy. Currently, he is the board member of the Turkish Society of Periodontology. Also, he is a member of Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology, European Federation of Periodontology, International Team for Implantology and Turkish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Aslan is intensely involved in mono/multi-center clinical research and development in periodontology, with special emphasis to plastic-periodontal surgery, guided bone/tissue regeneration and esthetic implant therapy.

Dr. Gustavo Avila-Ortiz obtained a DDS degree and completed a PhD training program at the University of Granada (Spain), before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) where he graduated with an MS degree and a Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Michigan. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Avila-Ortiz has over 10 years of experience as an educator and has worked to advance the profession in numerous institutional committees and scientific organizations. He is a former faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he was the Phillip A. Lainson Professor and Chair of the Department of Periodontics until 2022. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. He has authored more than 100 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and numerous book chapters. He is the co-author of the book TISSUES: Critical Issue in Periodontics and Implant-Related Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Quintessence Publishing 2022), which has been critically acclaimed within the profession. Dr. Avila-Ortiz is currently a Visiting Professor in the Division of Periodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a member of Atelier Dental Madrid (Spain), a center for dental excellence where he maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and is regularly engaged in scholarly and continuing-education activities.

Head of the Clinical Research Unit in Periodontology and Periodontal Medicine and Director of the full-time Master Program in Periodontology at the University of Florence, Florence, Italy. He is active member and treasurer of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP). Winner of some prestigious international awards in Periodontology, including the H. Goldman prize from SIdP, the Jaccard prize by the European Federation of Periodontology and R. Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award by the American Academy of Periodontology.  Primary author of several original publications and referee of the main scientific journals in the field of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Daniele Cardaropoli  è professore aggiunto di parodontologia presso l'Università di Catania, direttore scientifico dell'Istituto ProEd per la Formazione Professionale in Odontoiatria di Torino e presidente della Fondazione Giuseppe Cardaropoli per la Ricerca e la Cura in Parodontologia. È membro attivo di numerose organizzazioni e ha ricevuto diversi premi, tra cui l'Henry M. Goldman Award for the Clinical Research. Il dottor Cardaropoli è autore di oltre 30 articoli pubblicati su riviste internazionali peer-reviewed e coeditore del libro di testo Tessuti Molli ed Estetica Rosa (Quintessenza, 2019). Ha uno studio privato a Torino.

Honors degree in dentistry. PhD in Biotechnology applied to Dental Sciences. Active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP), Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and Education Delegate for the ITI Italian Section. Effective member of Amici di Brugg Association; International Member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), Active Member of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO). He is currently coordinator and lecturer in the Master in Periodontology at the University “La Sapienza.” Speaker internationallcongresses and national and international courses on oral surgery topics. Author of publications in international journals. Clinical practice limited to periodontics and implantology.

Luca De Stavola covers the position of Visiting professor of Periodontology and lecturer for the Osseointegrated implantology Master of the University of Padua (Italy). Graduaded in 2001 at the University of Padua (Italy) dental school, Luca De Stavola gets his specialization in Oral Surgeryin 2007 at the “Privatzahnklinik Schloss Schellenstein” (Westfalen-Lippe, Germany) under the guidance of Prof. F. Khoury; in the same year he concludes the Master of Oral Medicine in implantology at the Westfalischen Wilhelms University in Münster (Germany). An internationally renowned speaker for his interdisciplinary approach between periodontology and restorative surgery, Luca De Stavola is author of several research peer reviewed papers, and is an active SIO (Italian Association of Osseointegrated Implantology) and EAO (European Academy of Osseointegration) member, and is widely considered one of the most emerging Italian speakers in bone reconstruction and soft tissue management. His latest publications and courses focus on computer-guided bone surgery and optimal soft tissue management.

Graduated cum laude in 1986 in Medicine and Surgery at the Univ. of Trieste, specialized with honors in Dentistry in 1989 at the Univ. of Pisa. Dr. Fonzar has been directing the “E.Fonzar” Friulian Dental Clinic in Campoformido (UD) since 1996. Periodontology, implantology and prosthetics are the specializations to which Dr. Fonzar has dedicated his activity, becoming one of the leading European experts. Active member and Past President of SIDP, member AIOP and Int. College of Dentistry, Dr. Fonzar is involved in periodontal clinical research projects and theaches at the Univ. of Trieste and Modena. Speaker in Italy and abroad at conferences on the subject of periodontology, implantology and prosthodontics. 

Dr. France Lambert graduated from the University of Liege in Periodontology, where she continued to obtain a PhD in the same subject. She has also completed a fellowship program in oral implantology at the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine as well as the University of Washington. She is currently Head of Clinic in the Periodontology and Oral Surgery Departement at the University of Liege. Her clinical work is focused exclusively on implantology, mucogingival surgery and periodontics. Her scientific research areas target different aspects of the use of biomaterial and dental implants.

Luca Landi graduated in dentistry at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome in 1991. Scholarship for studies and research abroad of the University of Florence (1994-96). Specialization in Periodontology (CAGS) at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (1994-1997).  Adjunct Professor (2006-08) University of Siena. Holds several teaching positions such as in the post graduate course in Oral Surgery University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (1999-2002), in the Masters in Periodontology of the Universities of Turin (2019- to date), Florence (20-to date), Ferrara, Rome “Cattolica” and Roma “La Sapienza” (20-to date).  Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implantology (2003).  Member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.  Active member and SIdP Board of Periodontology and Implantology of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP) since 2004 where he held the position of Secretary (2012-13), Treasurer (2014-17), President-Elect (2018-19) and President (2020-21).   ITI Fellow (2022) and Founding Partner and Fellow of Boston University Italian Alumni (1999). Author of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and speaker at national and international conferences and co-author of chapters of texts on periodontology, implantology, endodontics and prosthetics. Devotes his clinical activity exclusively to periodontology, implantology and oral surgery in his associated offices in Rome and Verona.

Svolge attività clinica e di ricerca come Libero Professionista nello studio associato “Clinica Merli”, in Rimini.
Dal 2011 svolge attività didattica come Professore di Parodontologia e Chirurgia Implantare presso la Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, in Ancona.
Past-president della Società Italiana di Parodontologia (SldP), è socio attivo dell’Accademia ltaliana di Odontoiatria Protesica (AlOP) e della European Association for Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery (EACMFS), è membro della European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) e degli editorial board dello European Journal of Oral Implantology (EJOI) e del Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry.
Ha tenuto relazioni e conferenze in ambito nazionale ed internazionale, è autore di articoli scientifici pubblicati su riviste peer-reviewed e del libro Terapia Implantare: il piano di trattamento integrato edito da Quintessence Publishing Italia (Quintessenza Edizioni), nel 2011.

Dr. Jose Nart received his dental degree in 2001 from Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), Barcelona, Spain, and his Advanced Certificate in Periodontics and Implant Surgery from Tufts University in 2007. Dr. Nart was awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology on May 2008, and he obtained his PhD in Dentistry in 2010 with the highest degree. Currently, he is Professor, Chairman and Program Director at the Department of Periodontology at UIC-Barcelona, and President for the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration (SEPA). He maintains, with his family, a well-known multispecialty private practice in Barcelona, Nart Dental Clinic, as medical director. Dr. Nart is author of many international high-impact JCR publications (+110), worldwide speaker and reviewer of the highest impact factor Periodontology and Implant Dentistry journals.

Isabella Rocchietta, DDS, MSc, is an honorary senior research associate to the Department of Periodontology and a lecturer for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. She is an elected board member of the European Academy for Osseointegration and a member of the Experts Council of the Osteology Foundation. She is the author of several national and international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr Rocchietta performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in London and Milan and lectures internationally.

Dr. Mario Roccuzzo is a Private Practitioner in Turin, Italy. He obtained his DDS Degree with Honors from the Università degli Studi di Torino CIR Dental School and completed his Postgraduate Training in Periodontology at Karolinska Institutet and Università degli Studi di Siena Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia. Dr. Roccuzzo is a Member of the European Association for Osseointegration and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has served as the Past President of the Italy Section of the International Team for Implantology and is on the Editorial Board of Clinical Oral Implants Research and the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He has lectured extensively all over the world and is the author of numerous publications in the field of Mucogingival Surgery, Bone Regeneration and Dental Implants.

È periodicamente relatore, presso il proprio studio, di corsi teorico-pratici di Implantologia e Tecniche di rigenerazione ossea; collabora inoltre con le Università di Bologna, Milano, Trieste, Modena, Pisa e Genova in qualità di docente masterista nei corsi di specializzazione che riguardano le tecniche chirurgiche rigenerative.

Winner of the European Federation of Periodontology prize for periodontal research in 2005.  Winner of the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology prize for young researchers in 2007. Active member of Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) and of Italian Academy of Osteointegration (IAO). Guest Professor at University of Padova, Italy. Working as periodontist and implantologist in his private practice in Trento, Italy from 1992.

Leonardo Trombelli is a full professor and chair of the Department of Periodontology, School of Dentistry at the University of Ferrara. He has served as the director of the Research Center for the Study of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases at the University of Ferrara and the director of the Dental Clinic, University Hospital, Ferrara. He has been the dean of the Dental School at the University of Ferrara since 2013. He also served as the president of the Medical School at the University of Ferrara from 2014 to 2016. Past president of the SIO from 2007 to 2009. Dr Trombelli is an active member of SIdP and an editorial board member for the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

Istvan Urban, DMD, MD, PhD, insegna odontoiatria implantare nel programma di specializzazione della Loma Linda University in California ed è anche professore associato clinico aggiunto presso il Dipartimento di Parodontologia e Medicina Orale dell'Università del Michigan. Ha pubblicato ampiamente sulla rigenerazione ossea e sulla chirurgia ricostruttiva dei tessuti molli intorno agli impianti dentali ed è autore dei libri di testo Vertical and Horizontal Ridge Augmentation: New Perspectives (Quintessence, 2017) e Vertical 2: The Next Level of Hard and Soft Tissue Augmentation (2022), entrambi tradotti in italiano. Il Dr. Urban è abilitato all'esercizio della professione nello Stato della California e mantiene uno studio privato a Budapest, in Ungheria.
