It is most often asymptomatic. A fungus ball in the concha bullosa is extremely rare, with only two reported cases in the English literature. This article describes a patient with such a fungus ball in the concha bullosa that caused right periorbital pain, specifically in the right medial canthal area, similar to mucosal contact point headache.
