Mohammad (Mike) Sabeti, DDS, MA, currently serves as Director of Postgraduate Endodontics at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and has been invited to present at many meetings. In addition, he has received a Certificate in Recognition of Outstanding Services as a Faculty Member to the enhancement of education and clinical excellence, presented by the Advance Endodontics Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, and Certificate of Appreciation for the Service and Significant Contribution to Periodontal Division, University of Texas, Dental Branch. He was recognized by the UCSF's the Haile T Academy of Medical Educators with an Excellence in Teaching Award for 2019.
Dr. Fabio Saccardin is a specialist in Oral Surgery. Since 2014, he has been working at the Department of Oral Surgery, University Center for Dental Medicine Basel UZB, Switzerland. In addition, he is an active member of the Center of Salivary Diagnostics, Hyposalivation and Halitosis Basel, where he conducts his research.
Irena Sailer, Prof Dr med dent, is chair of the Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the University of Geneva and adjunct associate professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In 2019, she received an Honorary Skou Professorship of digital dental technologies, fixed and implant prosthodontics, and biomaterials at Aarhus University, Denmark. Dr Sailer is editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Prosthodontics and coauthor of over 150 peer-reviewed publications as well as the books Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology (Quintessence, 2021) and Color in Dentistry (2017). She holds several patents on esthetic coatings of dental/medical devices and a digital dental splint.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Anna Salat studied dentistry at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in Barcelona. She completed a specialization in esthetic and restorative dentistry at the same university, where she became a professor in that department. She has been visiting professor in Siena, Marseille, Valencia, Barcelona, and Lisbon. She is particularly interested in composites, esthetics, and cosmetic dentistry and teaches courses on these topics. She is the author of publications in international journals such as the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and the Tropical Dental Journal. Together with Dr Manauta, she wrote the book Layers: An Atlas of Composite Resin Stratification (Quintessence Publishing 2012) and is a coauthor of the book Mulher Dentista (Quintessence Publishing 2016). She is an honorary member of the Styleitaliano group. She loves to find ways to make things look better, and she applies this life philosophy by combining adhesive dentistry and conservative techniques to improve smiles.
Giovanni E. Salvi received his license in dental medicine in 1988 from the medical faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland. In 1990 he received his „Dr. med. dent“ degree. Between 1992 and 1994 he was a graduate student in the Department of Periodontology and Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Bern. From 1994 to 1997 he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA. In 1998 he became a board certified periodontist. Since 1999 he is a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI). In 2005 he was appointed teacher of the year in the School of Dental Medicine. Since 2003 he is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Clinical Oral Implants Research. In 2006 he was appointed associate editor of Clinical Oral Implants Research. Currently he is an associate professor in the Department of Periodontology and director of the graduate program in periodontology at the University of Bern.

Mariano Sanz is professor and chair of periodontology at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain) and a professor in the faculty of Odontology at the University of Oslo (Norway). He graduated in medicine in 1981 from the University Complutense of Madrid, from which he received a degree in stomatology in 1983 and where he qualified as a Doctor of Medicine in 1985. He received his speciality in periodontology from the Universtiy of Califormia in Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1987. He has received honorary doctorates from the University of San Sebastian in Santiago (Chile), the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and the University of Coimbra (Portugal). Since 2005, Prof Sanz has been chair of the ETEP research group on the aetiology and therapy of periodontal diseases, whose main lines of research are oral microbiology, bacterial-host interactions, and antimicrobial approaches in the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. The research group has conducted clinical trials to measure the efficacy of different approaches to periodontal regeneration surgical protocols using dental implants, and therapeutic approaches to treat peri-implantitis. Prof Sanz has published 230 articles in scientific journals, written 50 book chapters, and has participated as an invited speaker at more than 200 scientific events in the last five years. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Evidence-Based Dental Practice and a member of the editorial boards of various other dental journals. He has been awarded the Jens Waerhaug Research Prize by the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology (1984), the Outstanding Service Award from the International Association for Dental Research (2015) and the IADR Straumann Award in Periodontal Regenerative Medicine (2015). He is a member of the executive committee of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and chair of its workshop committee. He has previously served the EFP both as president (1993-1994) and secretary general (1998–2005). He is president of the Osteology Foundation, president of the International Association for Dental Research’s continental European division, and president-elect of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
David M. Sarver, DMD, MS, is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, and a fellow in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is author of Dentofacial Esthetics: From Macro to Micro with Quintessence (2020) and coauthor (with Drs Proffit and White) of the surgical text Contemporary Treatment of Dentofacial Deformity (Elsevier Science, 2002) as well as the 4th, 5th, and 6th editions of Proffit’s classic textbook Contemporary Orthodontics (Mosby, 2018). Dr Sarver has given more than 400 professional presentations in the United States, Europe, Australia, and the Middle and Far East and has been featured on several national television programs, including The Today Show.
Dr. Gerhard Sattler is considered one of the pioneers of esthetic medicine worldwide. Until his death, he was President of the German Society for Aesthetic Surgery (GÄCD) and Executive Director of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery as well as a member of other specialist societies and Director of the Rosenpark Clinic in Darmstadt.
Dr Yoh Sawatari is a Professor of Clinical Surgery and the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Program. He has over 16 years of facial trauma experience at a level one trauma center at one of the largest community hospitals in the country. He has trained countless surgeons through the residency program, his national and international lectures, and his numerous peer-reviewed publications and chapters. He is considered an expert in the field of facial trauma and has provided lectures for the United States Army, has assisted in the design of fixation plates for facial trauma, and has incorporated advanced technology into the Miami program including navigation, intraoperative imaging, and patient-specific implants.
