A total of 802 implants, both threaded and press-fit, were placed between February 2, 1996, and March 6, 2002. The overall success rate was 97%, and the cumulative survival rate using life table analysis was 96.1%. The statistical breakdown and an analysis of the results of the treatment of this patient population are presented.
