The ongoing digitalisation of our world has a profound impact on every aspect of our daily lives, including the field of dentistry. This revolution has led to significant changes, with digital workflows reshaping clinical workflows and procedures.
In the light of these rapid developments, the Digital Dentistry Show, a pioneering platform was launched in close collaboration with the Digital Dentistry Society.
This innovative event aims to provide a compelling and immersive experience for exhibitors and visitors alike, with a specific focus on digital products and the digital workflow within dentistry. Recognising the increasing demand for information and education in this field, the show aims to meet these needs effectively.
Dr Luís Bessa is the CEO and clinical director of the North Clinic in Oporto in Portugal. He is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and places a strong focus on minimally invasive ridge reconstruction with autologous tissue and high-end aesthetic dentistry. He is also the director of NORTH EDUCATION, where he shares his philosophy of practice with his students.
Dr Farina Blattner works at her dental practice in Remscheid in Germany. She specialises in functional diagnostics and therapy and is a co-developer of dental medical products. With years of experience as a speaker and the knowledge gained from running a dental practice, Dr Blattner creates dental training programmes that provide significant value for both dental laboratories and practices.
Dr Olena Cherhava is a dentist and an international speaker from Ukraine. She is a specialist in aesthetic medicine and aesthetic dentistry. She graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv in 2007 and is a lecturer in the department of maxillofacial surgery and dentistry at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy, a higher military medical school in Kyiv. She was awarded a gold medal for her personal contribution to the development of the school. She specialises in minimally invasive methods and practises at her family practice.
Dr. Florin Cofar co-founded Smilecloud, a smile-design and centralized collaboration platform. He specializes in complex esthetic rehabilitation and minimally invasive procedures. He received his education from Victor Babes University in Timisoara with specialization at NYU University of Dentistry and Harvard Business School.
Dr Alessandro Cucchi earned his degree in dentistry and dental surgery with honours from the University of Verona in Italy in 2009 and completed his postgraduate degree in oral surgery at the University of Milan in Italy in 2012. In 2016, he received his PhD in surgical sciences, with specialisation in reconstructive problems in maxillofacial surgery, from the University of Bologna in Italy. Subsequently, he completed a continuing education course in periodontal plastic and regenerative surgical techniques at the University of Milan. He has published several scientific papers about implant surgery and related research in prominent international journals. Moreover, he is a prominent speaker at training courses and scientific meetings that focus on implantology and reconstructive surgery. He is currently researching innovative technologies in guided bone regeneration.
Dr Lesley A. David is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon practising in Toronto in Canada. She is on the staff at Trillium Health Partners Hospital and the Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr David is a clinical instructor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto and has been involved in teaching and research in the Implant Prosthodontic Unit at the university. She is a fellow and past examiner of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Additionally, she is on the advisory board for DC Institute, a continuing education provider, and is a remedial course provider in implants and oral and maxillofacial surgery for the Royal College of Dentists of Ontario. Dr David lectures nationally and internationally on various topics in implant dentistry and oral surgery. She has also published various articles and chapters, predominantly on implant dentistry.
Dr Marcus Engelschalk is a dentist specialising in implantology, oral surgery and laser dentistry. He owns a dental practice in Munich in Germany called Slow Digital Dentistry. “Treat others the way you want to be treated” is one of Dr Engelschalk’s guiding principles—both professionally and personally. He views his patients as equals, and his interactions with them are characterised by mindfulness, respect and appreciation.
Mirela Feraru, D.M.D. graduated in 2005 from the Dental Faculty of the Timisoara University, Romania. She was an integral part of the Bichacho Clinic team from 2009 till 2022, focusing on interdisciplinary modalities, she gained in-depth knowledge and experience in all fields of perio-prosthetic esthetic dentistry, concentrating on restorative and perioplastic surgery treatments. As well as publishing internationally, she pursues her passion for sharing her experience and skills with others by lecturing, teaching and mentoring world-wide on complex esthetic restorative treatments and interdisciplinary perio-prosthetic concepts and treatment. She has also authored the bestseller book Dental Visualization, published by Quintessence Publishing in 2018
Dr Howard Gluckman is a periodontist, lecturer and researcher who specialises in immediate implant placement, soft-tissue aesthetics and periodontal plastic surgery. He has a special interest in autogenous bone augmentation, especially bone harvested from the palate. From bone grafting to immediate implant placement, he uses cutting-edge techniques and covers all treatment needs. Dr Gluckman believes in individual treatment, ensuring each patient receives a treatment that is customised to his or her unique case.
Dr Amely Hartmann is an oral surgeon and is a clinical director at Dr Seiler und Kollegen dental practice in Filderstadt-Bernhausen in Germany. In addition to her work in the practice, she is a research associate at the clinic and polyclinic for oral and maxillofacial surgery at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany. She is a speaker and author for various professional magazines.
Dr Gabriela Lagreca is a board-certified prosthodontist and an associate professor in the Department of Prosthodontics and director of faculty education and calibration at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in the US. She is a skilled clinician with over 14 years of experience in advanced orofacial rehabilitation, including the surgical and restorative management of complex implant reconstructions. She is the president of the Massachusetts section of the American College of Prosthodontics, leading the prosthodontics community in the state, organising continuing education programmes and collaborating with dental professionals and educators from Harvard, Tufts and Boston universities in the US.
Dr Setareh Lavasani received her specialty certificate and master’s degree in oral and maxillofacial radiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in the US and is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist. She is a full-time associate professor and the director of oral radiology and advanced imaging in the College of Dental Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona in California in the US.
Dr Fabrizia Luongo is a distinguished professional known for her expertise in periodontics and aesthetic dentistry. She embarked on her academic journey at the prestigious Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome in Italy and then completed the periodontics preceptorship programme at the University of California, Los Angeles in the US, an MSc in periodontics at the Sapienza University of Rome and an advanced postgraduate course in implantology and restorative dentistry at the Universidade Guarulhos in São Paulo in Brazil. Since 2013, Dr Luongo has run a private practice in Rome, where she focuses on periodontics and restorative dentistry.
Miladinov Milos is a dental technician and photographer from Romania and a member of the Romanian Society of Digital Dentistry. He believes that dentistry should be a great experience for each patient. He is an advocate for modern digital dentistry that gives predictable results, and he presents dental photography courses as well as courses on topics such as marketing and branding and digital dentistry.
After completing his training as a dental technician in Bamberg in Germany, where he discovered his passion for dentistry, Dr Paul Schuh pursued a degree in dental, oral and maxillofacial medicine, which he completed in 2012. Following that, he worked as a research associate in the department of dental prosthetics and dental technology at Witten/Herdecke University in Germany. He works at his dental practice, artedent, in Munich in Germany.
Dr Christos Tsamis’s journey in the field of dentistry began at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, from which he graduated in 2003. He further nurtured his passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the same university, specialising in minor oral surgery. Building on this foundation, he advanced to the Department of Dentoalveolar Surgery, Implantology and Oral Radiology, dedicating three years to earning his master’s degree. Dr Tsamis is a co-partner and chief financial officer of the Merimna Institute in Athens in Greece, the first continuing dental education centre in the country, and currently runs a private dental practice in Thessaloniki.
Dr Karl Ulrich Volz started and owns the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC in Kreuzlingen in Switzerland, where he is head dentist in the biological dentistry department, and established ceramic implant company Swiss Dental Solutions. Through his pioneering work in ceramic implantology (having placed over 25,000 ceramic implants to date) and biological dentistry, he has become one of the most experienced and prominent biological dentists globally. He is the president of the International Society of Metal-Free Implantology.
Dr Grzegorz Wasiluk is a dentist and international speaker from Gdańsk in Poland. Over the past five years, he has served as both president and vice president of the Polish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. With 16 years of experience in prosthodontics and implantology, Dr Wasiluk has established himself as a highly skilled clinician. His PhD thesis and numerous publications demonstrate his deep interest in CAD/CAM technologies and digital dentistry. He is a co-founder of High End Dentistry, an educational platform offering courses and workshops in prosthodontics and implantology. Dr Wasiluk is a passionate supporter of modern dentistry and is constantly striving to achieve the ideal smile for his patients through minimally invasive treatment procedures.
Dr Tommaso Weinstein studied dentistry and dental prosthetics at the University of Milan Italy in 2008. The following year, he became a tutor in the prosthetics department of the dental clinic at the same university. In 2012, he completed a PhD in physiopathological, neuropsychobiological and life cycle care sciences at the University of Milan. He currently works at the Humanitas Dental Center and the Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan.
Dr Martina Elisabeth Werner is a surgeon in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Germany. Her key competencies include oral surgery, gingivectomy, periodontics, implantology, and hard- and soft-tissue augmentation. Dr Werner is a distinguished professional known for her multifaceted contributions to dentistry. As the co-initiator and chair of the first Bavarian women’s network and trainee day, she is a catalyst for empowering women and fostering growth in the professional arena.
