Dr. Martina Stefanini PhD

Dr. Stefanini is a researcher in the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences at Bologna University, Italy and also a dental surgeon in private practice. She graduated from the University of Bologna with a degree in dentistry in 2005. She was awarded a PhD in Medical Sciences in 2016 from the same institution. Dr. Stefanini is an ITI Fellow, has sat on of the Editorial and the Scientific Committees of the Italian Society of Periodontology and continues to be an active member. She was a Visiting Professor at San Raffaele University Milan in 2015-2016 and taught a postgraduate program at the Dental School San Raffaele, University Milan and for the II level International Master at Bologna University in 2017. Prof Dr med Jan Stöhlmacher is a professor of internal medicine, specializing in hematology and internal oncology. His specialist areas of focus include cancers of the internal organs and tumor therapy supported by genetic analyses. He has written numerous publications and scientific articles for medical textbooks. His many years as head of the oncological outpatient clinic at Dresden University Hospital, as well as the fact that his brothers have cancer, have sensitized him to dealing with patients in a trusting manner. His particular concern, therefore, is to pass on his experience to future doctors as part of his teaching activities at the Dresden Hospital.

My name is Malin Strasding, I am Lecturer at the University of Geneva, Division for Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials (Head: Prof. Irena Sailer) since 2016. I studied in Freiburg, Germany and then worked as a Research Assistant in the Department for Prosthetic Dentistry (Head: Prof. J. Strub) from 2014-2016. I am specialized in Reconstructive Dentistry (Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry SSRD) and Specialist in Prosthodontics (DGPro).

Currently, I am resposible for the undergraduate clinical training and co-responsable for the postgraduate specialisation programme. My research focus lies on novel restorative concepts in fixed prosthodontics supported by digital technologies.

Brigitte Strauß

Brigitte Strauß is a dental assistant with further training as a dental assistant. For many years, she worked in the Polyclinic for Periodontology at the Center for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (Carolinum) at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. She is the author of numerous articles on the subject of oral and, in particular, periodontal preventive medicine, a lecturer at the Dental Association of Hesse and the maxQ School for Nursing Care for the Elderly in Frankfurt am Main. She is the third winner of the Roulet Prize for the promotion of individual prophylaxis and prophylaxis personnel for prophylaxis in elderly patients, taking into account physical and mental illnesses (1998).

Fernando Suárez DDS, MS

Fernando Suárez López del Amo, DDS, MS, received his dental degree from the European University of Madrid in Spain and completed his Certificate and Master’s degree in periodontics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After graduation, Dr Suárez continued serving as an adjunct clinical assistant professor and research fellow at the University of Michigan, before becoming an assistant professor at the Department of Periodontics—University of Oklahoma. In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr Suárez has been the recipient of several awards from the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, and the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for a number of journals in the fields of periodontics and implant dentistry. Dr Suárez currently works in private practice in Tacoma, Washington.
