Thanks to CAD/CAM technology, the variety of millable blanks and printable resins is constantly increasing. A distinction must be made between plastics and composites, each with different material bases, whereby the problem is that there are no standardized fixed terms, especially for the group of composites. This article provides an overview of the various material groups and information on their specific properties, processability and possible applications.
