Dr. Schupp graduated in dentistry in 1985 from the University of Münster and continued his studies here as a postgraduate student of orthodontics under the direction of Prof. Dr. U Ehmer. Collaboration in the orthodontic private practice of Dr. DE Toll followed and since 1990, he has been in private practice as an orthodontics specialist in Cologne, Germany. In his office, over 6000 patients have been treated with aligner orthodontics. He is certified in Manual Medicine and Osteopathy for Orthodontics. Dr. Schupp is a founding member and past president of the German Board of Orthodontics and Orofacial Orthopedics, and a board member of the German Society of Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO). He is also founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics (JAO) and an advisory board member for the periodical Manuelle Medizin. He has published various articles concerning orthodontics, function, and pain therapy. He has written the books Funktionslehre in der Kieferorthopädie and Kraniomandibuläres und Muskuloskelletales System, as well as the first edition of Aligner Orthodontics, published in 2016 (Quintessence Publishing) and translated in several languages. Dr. Schupp is also visiting professor at the Capital University, Beijing, China.

Frank Schwarz is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral Surgery and Implantology at the Centre for Dentistry and Oral Medicine (Carolinum), Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt, Germany. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Editorial Board Member for Periodontology 2000, Clinical Oral Implants Research and Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Association for Osseointegration – EAO, Executive Board Member of the Osteology Foundation, and Past President of the German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI). He was awarded the André Schröder Research Prize in 2007, the Miller Research Prize in 2012 and the Jan Lindhe Award in 2017.
Josef Schweiger received vocational training as a dental technician after graduating from high school. Having worked in several dental laboratories, he has been a laboratory manager at the Department of Prosthodontics of Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich since 1999. He has been responsible for the laboratory branches of several studies on all-ceramic systems and has published numerous articles on CAD/CAM and high-performance ceramics for dental use. He is a member of the board of the German Association for Computer-Assisted Dentistry (DGCZ).
Prof. Falk Schwendicke is Head of the Department of Oral Diagnostics, Digital Health and Health Services Research at Europe’s largest university hospital, the Charité in Berlin, Germany.
Prof. Schwendicke currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Dental Research, as President of the German Association for AI in Dentistry, as Topic Driver Dental at the ITU/WHO group AI in Health and as Vice President of the German Society for Oral Epidemiology and Health Services Research. Dr. Schwendicke holds a PhD from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and a Master of Dental Public Health (MDPH) from the University of Manchester. He received numerous awards, among them the IADR Leader Award, IADR Basil Bibby and IADR Lion Award as well as the David Sackett Award for Evidence-Based Medicine.
