Content
The evolution of Implant Site Preparation over the past 10 years, has determined a notable improvement of bone healing mechanisms in proximity to implants. Utilizing a new and revolutionary ultrasonic technology invented by the author, Implant Site Preparation using Piezosurgery® simplifies and improves the state of the art in osseo-integrated implantology. The new concepts arising from the application to implantology of these innovative microsurgical techniques allowed for the development of a new pre-surgical study, based on a new classification of bone tissue quality and quantity. This new surgical technique will be presented in a "step by step" format and exemplified through numerous clinical cases and the integration of application videos in the presentation will provide the opportunity to understand the advantages of the Implant Site Preparation micro-surgical protocol presented. The presentation will highlight both surgical and clinical advantages of the new procedure concerning immediate load in both edentulous crests and post-extractive implant cases. Indeed, it will be shown through histological and bio-molecular evidence how this new technique opens up a "new era" for immediate load technique, allowing for a drastic reduction of the time interval elapsing between primary and secondary stability.
