Dr. Ricardo Mitrani, received his DDS degree from the Unitec University of México City; a certificate in Prosthodontics as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington, where he served as the Graduate Prosthodontics program’s assistant director during the year of 2001.  He currently holds academic affiliations at the University of Washington, and is a resident faculty at SPEAR Education in Scottsdale Arizona. He is a member of several organizations including the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is part of the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry (JERD), The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry (JCD) and Compendium, as well as the Executive director of Spear Digest. Dr Mitrani has authored numerous scientific publications and chapters in textbooks in the fields of Implant Prosthodontics and Aesthetic dentistry and has given over 600 lectures around the globe, maintaining a private practice limited to Prosthodontics, Implants and Aesthetic dentistry in Mexico City.  

Graduated in 1992 with a degree in dentistry from the University of Bologna, Italy, where he was subsequently adjunct professor from 1997 to 2000. Visiting researcher at the Department of Cariology, directed by Prof Ivo Krejci, at the University of Geneva between the years 2000 and 2004. Obtained a master’s degree in science (2003) and a PhD in dental materials (2005) at the University of Siena with Prof M. Ferrari. Researcher at the University of Bologna since 2006. Up to 2020, taught undergraduate courses on fixed prostheses on natural teeth and implants and prosthodontics at the University of Bologna. Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP) award winner for best research in the field of prosthodontics in the years 2005, 2008, and 2009. Obtained a PhD in material science in 2013 from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna. Associate professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, teaching the courses of implant prosthodontics and removable prosthodontics in the school of dentistry. Dean of the master’s degree program in prosthodontics and implant prosthetics with advanced technologies, University of Bologna. Since 2004 collaborating with Prof G. Zucchelli in the development of clinical and research protocols related to implant-supported restorations, soft tissue management, and the interrelationship between prosthodontics and periodontics in the natural dentition. Active member of the AIOP and the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO). Fellow of the International Team for Implantology since 2018.

Amar Naru is a practitioner in private practice and involved in postgraduate occlusion teaching. His PhD Digital image analysis of the human bite mark has contributed significantly to forensic dentistry. In this book, his skills in digital illustration and computer animation combine to aid the understanding of otherwise difficult concepts within dentistry.

Dr. José Manuel Navarro received a Certificate in Periodontology and Implant dentistry after completing a 3-year program at New York University College of Dentistry (Chairman Dennis Tarnow). He was also awarded a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials from NYUCD for his research on high strength ceramics (Chairman Van Thompson). Dr. Navarro has received awards for his research from different societies, including the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) best presentation award in 2007 and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) Research Award in 2011. He has co- authored several peer- reviewed publications and book chapters and is Co-Editor of the book “High Strength Ceramics”. Dr. Navarro is on the editorial board of the European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry (EJED) the International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI) and is editor in Chief of Quintessence International in Spanish. He is past chairman of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) Junior Committee and is visiting faculty at different universities. He currently maintains a private practice focused on periodontics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Spain and London.

Prof. Nebe has been Head of the Cell Biology Department at Rostock University Medical Center since 2013. Her research focuses on cell-biological aspects of biosystem-material interaction, cellular acceptance of plasma-chemically and topographically modified biomaterials, regulation of cell physiology in three-dimensional implant scaffolds and the cell-structure-cell function relationship, cellular adhesion.

Since 2016, operating his own practice in Düsseldorf; external staff member of the Clinic for Orthodontics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Since 12/2012, member of the scientific advisory board of the journal "Orthodontics" (Quintessenz Publishing). Since 02/2015, co-editor of "IOK - Information from Orthodontics & Orthopedics" (Thieme). National and international activities as a reviewer and speaker. Dr. Dominik Nischwitz (or Dr. Dome for short) is a world-renowned specialist in biological dentistry, holistic odontology and ceramic implants. Francis Nohl is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. He is a Specialist Trainer in Prosthodontics and leads the dental implant team at Newcastle Dental Hospital. In addition he is Degree Programme Director for the Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology. He has an MSc in Conservative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute UK.

Dr. Palombo graduated in dentistry from the University of Milan in 2015, with a concentration in oral surgery (Head Prof. Matteo Chiapasco). In 2017, he won the International Research Fellowship of the Italian Society of Osseointegration and obtained a Master of Sciences (MSc) from the Complutense University in Madrid. Then, he completed a post-graduate program in periodontal plastic surgery at the University of Bologna (Head Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli) and is now enrolled in the 3 year full-time master in periodontics and implant dentistry at the Complutense University in Madrid (Head Prof. Mariano Sanz), certified by the European Federation of Periodontology.

Dr Mario Parra is the pioneer in the implementation of THE SWISS BIOHEALTH CONCEPT in Spain, being the first and only Spanish dentist to obtain the certification of specialist in biological dentistry and expert in ceramic implants, recognised by international associations such as ISMI in Europe (International Society for Metalfree Implantology) and IAOCI in the United States (International Academy of Ceramic Implantology). Dr. Leandro Pereira received his DDS degree from the Brazilian Federal University of Maranhão School of Dentistry in 2009,  subsequently completing his post graduate specialty degree in Prosthodontics in 2013 and Implant Dentistry in 2015. Currently he is in a full time private practice in São Luís, with particular clinical emphasis in the adhesive rehabilitation techniques and implant based restorative dentistry.
