Tiziano Tealdo, DDS, MS, CDT, obtained his certificate in dental laboratory technology in 1984. Dr Tealdo graduated in dentistry at the University of Turin, Italy in 1991. At the same university, he earned his postgraduate degree in oral surgery in 1993. Dr Tealdo obtained the university certificate in implantology at the University of Aix-Marseille, France, in 1998. From 1998 to 2000 he completed Dr Carlo Tinti’s postgraduate periodontal program, whichfocused on reconstruction of hard and soft tissue in conjunction with implant surgery. Dr Tealdo’s interest in implant-prosthetic therapy led him to attend the Brånemarkkliniken and the Brånemark Osseointegration Center, Gothenburg, Sweden; the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Ümea, Sweden; and the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal. Since 1997 he has been in charge of the Implant Division in the Department of Implant and Prosthetic Dentistry of Genoa University, Italy. Currently, at the same university, he is professor of Prosthodontics. Dr Tealdo is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists

Michele Temperani is a certified dental technician who specialized in the field of fixed denture prosthetics in the USA, where he attended the courses of the Tanaka Dental Technology Institute and the seminars of Masahiro Kuwata at the University of Washington.

For three years, he was the head of the ceramic department at Kiyosato Okamoto dental lab in Seattle ( USA ).

Since 1990, he has been co-owner of a dental laboratory in Florence together with his brother where he specializes in aesthetic ceramic restorations. He has been using the press technique for the fabrication of all-ceramic restorations sine 1998.

He conducts courses and holds lectures at international meetings on a regular basis and is the author of numerous publications

Prof. Dr. Tennert ist Oberarzt an der Klinik für Zahnerhaltung, Präventiv- und Kinderzahnmedizin der Zahnmedizinischen Kliniken der Universität Bern und Ernährungsmediziner der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Ernährungsmedizin/Deutsche Akademie für Ernährungsmedizin (DGEM/DAEM). Seit vielen Jahren befasst er sich intensiv mit dem Thema Ernährung, insbesondere mit dem Einfluss der Ernährung auf Erkrankungen in der Mundhöhle und hat auf dem Gebiet der Präventivzahnmedizin national und international vielfach publiziert und referiert.

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Hendrik Terheyden ist Chefarzt der Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie der DRK-Kliniken Nordhessen in Kassel. Hendrik Terheyden absolvierte von 1983–1989 das Zahnmedizinstudium an der Universität Kiel. 1989 war er Stabsarzt der Marine in Flensburg. 1989–1992 studierte er Humanmedizin an der Universität Kiel. 1993 wurde er Fachzahnarzt für Oralchirurgie und 1997 Facharzt für Mund-, Kieferund Gesichtschirurgie mit der Zusatzbezeichnung Plastische Operationen (1999). 1999 folgte die Habilitation an der Universität Kiel. Er erhielt den Wassmund-Preis der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie (DGMKG). 2004 wurde er apl. Professor an der Universität Kiel. Von 2009 bis 2012 war er Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Implantologie und von 2017 bis 2019 erster Vorsitzender der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Oral-und Kieferchirurgie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde (DGZMK). Seit 2006 ist Prof. Terheyden Section Editor des International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery und seit 2012 Editor in Chief des International Journal of Implant Dentistry. Seit 2021 ist er im Vorstand des Arbeitskreises leitender Krankenhausärzte der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie tätig.

Deborah A. Termeie, DDS, is a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP), and it was her experience preparing for the ABP qualifying exams that inspired her to write this book. Dr Termeie is also an editor and author of Avoiding and Treating Dental Complications: Best Practices in Dentistry (John Wiley & Sons, 2016) and has published on the topics of evidence-based dentistry and implantology. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Excellence in Implantology Research award from the California Society of Periodontics, and has been invited to participate in the American Academy of Periodontics Leadership, Engagement, Action, and Development (LEAD) Program. She maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills, California.

Douglas A. Terry, DDS, holds positions as an adjunct professor in the department of restorative sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and professor emeritus in the department of conservative dentistry and endodontics at the V.S. Dental College & Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India. He has authored several hundred scientific articles and textbooks, including Restoring with Flowables (Quintessence, 2016), Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry: Material Selection and Technique, Third Edition (2018), and Restoring the Intraradicular Space: Esthetic Post Systems (2021). He has lectured nationally and internationally on various subjects in restorative and esthetic dentistry and is a dental materials clinical research consultant for industry manufacturers. Dr Terry is founder and CEO of the Institute of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and a member of Oral Design International. He maintains a private practice in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Tiziano Testori ist Leiter der Abteilung für Implantologie und orale Rehabilitation der Zahnmedizinischen Klinik am Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi, Abteilung für Gesundheitstechnologien der Universität Mailand. Außerdem ist er Gastprofessor am New York University College of Dentistry in New York. Der ehemalige Präsident der Italienischen Gesellschaft für Oralchirurgie und Implantologie (SICOI) ist Gründungsmitglied der Advanced Implantology Study Group (AISG), Autor von mehr als 200 wissenschaftlichen Artikeln und Mitherausgeber von Sinusbodenaugmentation. Chirurgische Techniken und alternative Konzepte (Quintessenz, 2010). Dr. Testori betreibt  eine Privatpraxis in Como.

Zahntechniker, Diplom Betriebswirt/ VWA, Produktmanager, Projektleiter, Referent, Trainer. 1994 - 1997 Ausbildung zum Zahntechniker im Dentallabor Behrend Berlin. 1997 - 2005 Tätigkeit in verschiedenen Laboratorien mit den Schwerpunkten Keramik, Kombi-ZE mit zunehmender Spezialisierung auf die Totalprothetik in Berlin. Kurstätigkeit 2001 - 2004 weiterführendes betriebswirtschaftliches Studium. 2000 - 2019 Referent und Trainer. 2005 - 2019 Zahntechnischer Fachberater Merz-Dental GmbH. Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte: Betreuung der Universitäten der Meister und Berufsschulen, Schulungen für Zahntechniker und Zahnärzte. Schwerpunkt: Totalprothetik. Fachvorträgen für Zahntechniker und Zahnärzte. 2010 - 2019 Entwicklung künstlicher Zähne. 2015 - 2019 Produkt -und Projektmanagement für zahntechnische Produkte bei Merz Dental GmbH in Lütjenburg.

Dr. Tholey is a qualified dental technician and successfully completed his studies in dental technology in Osnabrück in 2005. He was department head / project manager Research & Development at VITA Zahnfabrik for 10 years and since 2015 Dr. Tholey has been in charge of our technical service (hotline, application technology, courses).

Prof. Daniel Thoma ist Wissenschaftlicher Abteilungsleiter an der Klinik für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, Zentrum für Zahnmedizin, Universität Zürich. Er erhielt sein Staatsexamen an der Universität Basel im Jahre 2000 und anschliessend eine post-doc Ausbildung in rekonstruktiver Zahnmedizin an der Klinik für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, Universität Zürich, Leitung Prof. Ch. Hämmerle. Von 2007 bis 2008 war er als ITI Scholar am Department of Periodontics, University of Texas, Health Science Center, San Antonio, USA. Seit 2008 ist er Oberarzt an der Klinik für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, Zentrum für Zahnmedizin, Universität Zürich. Im Jahre 2013 habilitierte Dr. Thoma auf dem Gebiet der oralen Implantologie und Kronen- und Brückenprothetik, ist seit 2015 Wissenchaftlicher Abteilungsleiter für den Fachbereich rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, seit 2017 stellv. Klinikdirektor und Titularprofessor seit 2020. Zudem hält er einen Spezialistentitel in rekonstruktiver Zahnmedizin der SSRD und einen WBA Implantologie der SGI.

Professor Thompson works in the department of Tissue Engineering and Biophotonics at King's College London Dental Institute. Known for his work on adhesion and bonded bridges at the University of Maryland and later for work on ceramic fatigue at New York University, he has published many articles and made numerous presentations on dental biomaterials in the U.S. and internationally. His current research areas include diagnosing dentine caries activity, all-ceramic crown fatigue and fracture, engineering tissue response via scaffold architecture and practice based research (PEARL Network).
